Banking News – Mustang Police have seized illegal goods worth approximately Rs. 435,800 that were being transported to Pokhara after allegedly evading customs duties.

The contraband was recovered during a routine inspection conducted by the Area Police Office, Lete, at Thasang Rural Municipality–3, according to Police Inspector Ishwor Mahat of the District Police Office, Mustang.
Police said the goods were found while inspecting a Mahindra Bolero jeep traveling from the Korala border point on the Nepal–China border through Jomsom en route to Pokhara.
The seized items did not have the required customs declaration documents or other mandatory paperwork, prompting authorities to confiscate them.
Police have taken the vehicle, the driver, and the individual transporting the goods into custody and handed them over to the Mustang Customs Office for further legal action.
The confiscated items include shoes, slippers, jeans, trousers, T-shirts, and other consumer goods. Police said the identity of the individual involved has been withheld as the investigation remains ongoing.
