Banking News – The Transport Management Office has issued 90,000 driving licences over the past three months, generating Rs. 198.2 million in revenue for the government.

According to Office Chief Prabin Shrestha, a total of 238,000 driving licences were printed during the period, of which 90,000 licences have already been distributed to service recipients.
The office currently issues between 1,000 and 1,800 driving licences daily, depending on the volume of applicants and service demand.
Officials said the continued distribution of licences has contributed significantly to government revenue while helping reduce the backlog of pending licence deliveries.
