Asset Declaration Collection and Investigation Suspended Following Supreme Court Order

Banking News – The Asset Investigation Commission has temporarily suspended all activities related to the collection and investigation of asset declarations following an order issued by the Supreme Court.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, the commission said the suspension will remain in effect until the Supreme Court reaches a final verdict on the writ petition, in accordance with the Court’s order issued on July 15, 2026 (Asar 31, 2083 BS).

Prior to the suspension, the commission had been collecting asset declarations from political office holders and public officials who had held positions of public accountability, excluding former judges, former constitutional office bearers, and former officials of the Nepal Army.

The commission had originally set Thursday as the deadline for the submission of asset declaration forms. However, the process has now been put on hold pending the Supreme Court’s final decision.
