Prime Minister Balen Shah Pledges Government Support for Women Entrepreneurs

Banking News – Prime Minister Balen Shah has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing all necessary support to promote women’s entrepreneurship in Nepal.

During a meeting with representatives of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Shah said the government is working to remove barriers faced by women entrepreneurs and create opportunities to promote locally produced goods at major tourist destinations across the country.

Representatives of the federation called for a business-friendly environment where women entrepreneurs can operate with confidence. They also urged the government to introduce special programs to help market Nepali products and services both domestically and internationally, including support for trade fairs, exhibitions, B2B (business matching) events, and export promotion initiatives.

The federation further requested government backing to establish its “Ma Udyami” (I Am an Entrepreneur) trademark brand in the market. Prime Minister Shah welcomed the proposal and encouraged the federation to launch the brand without delay, expressing the government’s support for the initiative.
