Banking News – Anandraj Sharma Wagle has been elected President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) following the institute’s election held on Asar 32, 2083.

Hem Kafle was elected as Vice President of the institute.

In the presidential race, Wagle defeated Thakur Prasad Adhikari, securing 13 votes, while Adhikari received four votes.

Similarly, in the vice-presidential election, Hem Kafle narrowly defeated Aman Upreti, receiving nine votes against Upreti’s eight votes.
