Banking News – The Government of Nepal and representatives of loan shark (unfair lending) victims are expected to sign a formal agreement today, following ongoing negotiations aimed at resolving the victims’ demands.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the agreement will formalize the verbal understanding reached in Simara on Wednesday between the government negotiating team and representatives of the victims.
Discussions are currently underway at the Prime Minister’s Office, where both sides are working to finalize the written agreement. The meeting follows extensive negotiations held on Thursday, which laid the groundwork for today’s expected deal.
The government negotiation team is led by Pushkar Sapkota, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. Other members include Kali Prasad Parajuli, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Yogendra Prasad Dulal, Director General of the Department of Land Management.
The victims’ delegation is coordinated by Awadhesh Kushwaha from Nawalparasi (East of Susta). Other representatives include Manoj Paswan from Siraha, Rijan Ranamagar from Gorkha, Laxmi Ghimire from Bhojpur, Kiran Pariyar from Bardaghat West, and Nirgaraj Jaisi from Kailali.
