Banking News – A group of women who had gone missing after entering Shuklaphanta National Park in Kanchanpur to collect wild mushrooms has been safely reunited with their families following an extensive search operation.

The women, residents of Bagphanta in Bhimdatta Municipality-19, had been out of contact since Sunday, prompting authorities to launch a coordinated search inside the national park.

According to Prakash Ghimire, Commanding Officer of the Ranasingh Battalion deployed for the security of Shuklaphanta National Park, all available resources were mobilized to locate the missing women. He confirmed that the women have now established contact with their families and are safe.

“A comprehensive search operation was carried out inside the park. We have now received confirmation that all of them have safely returned and are in contact with their families,” Ghimire said.

In a separate rescue operation, a Nepal Army team led by Major Suman GC successfully rescued three women from Beldandi Rural Municipality-2 who had also gone missing inside the park since Sunday evening. They were safely handed over to their families on Monday morning.

The disappearance of three separate groups of women who had entered the protected area illegally to collect wild mushrooms prompted a joint search operation involving the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Municipal Police and the Shuklaphanta National Park administration.
