Banking News – Police in Salyan have recovered six illegal homemade firearms (muzzle-loading guns) that were found abandoned and concealed in two community forests during a search operation.

According to Inspector Devraj Bhattarai, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Salyan, four homemade firearms were recovered from Bhadale Community Forest in Bangad Kupinde Municipality–12, while two others were seized from Jugekhola Community Forest in Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality–1.

The recovery was made after police received confidential information indicating that illegal firearms had been hidden inside the forests. A joint team from the District Police Office, Salyan, and the Area Police Office, Damachaur, conducted a search operation that led to the discovery and seizure of all six weapons.

Police said an investigation is underway to identify who concealed the firearms and for what purpose they had been hidden in the community forests. No arrests have been reported in connection with the case so far.
