Banking News – Abhishek Kalakheti of Biratnagar has won a BYD Auto 1 electric vehicle (EV) after sending money from Saudi Arabia to Nepal through Tiqmo using IME Remit.

The car key was handed over to the winner’s wife, Kalpana Kalakheti, by IME Group Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal during a prize distribution ceremony held in Kathmandu.

Speaking at the event, IME Limited Chairman Hemraj Dhakal said remittances sent by Nepali migrant workers not only strengthen the country’s economy but also bring lasting happiness to families back home. He added that promotional campaigns jointly launched by IME and Tiqmo go beyond providing remittance services by helping fulfill the aspirations of hardworking Nepali migrant workers.

IME Limited CEO Diwakar Poudel said the company remains committed to supporting Nepalis working abroad by providing reliable financial services to their families in Nepal. He noted that IME has played a significant role in delivering secure and trusted remittance services while maintaining the confidence of migrant workers.

The promotional campaign, jointly organized by IME Limited and Tiqmo, ran from January 4 to June 30, 2026 (Poush 21, 2082 to Asar 16, 2083 BS). The campaign aimed to encourage Nepali workers in Saudi Arabia to use Tiqmo’s digital remittance service to send money safely, quickly, and securely to Nepal while offering attractive rewards.

During the first phase of the campaign, held from January 5 to March 31, 2026, 12 lucky customers won iPhone 17 smartphones, while two participants received electric scooters. In the second phase, which ran from April 5 to June 30, 2026, five customers each week won cash prizes of Rs. 10,000. The grand prize winner received the BYD Auto 1 EV.

IME and Tiqmo Launch New Remittance Campaign

IME and Tiqmo also announced a new promotional campaign that begins August 2, 2026 (Shrawan 17, 2083 BS) and will continue until October 31, 2026 (Kartik 14, 2083 BS).

Under the new campaign:

• Two winners every week will receive prizes worth up to twice the amount they remit.
• Two winners every month will receive up to three times the amount they send.
• Under the grand prize, two lucky winners will receive up to five times the value of their remitted amount.

According to IME, the new campaign is expected to encourage more Nepali migrant workers in Saudi Arabia to use secure and formal digital remittance channels while further strengthening the partnership between IME and Tiqmo.
