Nine Arrested for Indecent Conduct and Harassing Tourists in Kathmandu’s Thamel


Banking News – Nepal Police have taken nine individuals into custody for allegedly engaging in indecent activities and disorderly behavior in the Thamel area of Kathmandu.

According to police, the individuals were apprehended in the Paknajol area for obstructing foreign and domestic tourists, as well as other pedestrians, and harassing them by negotiating for obscene activities, causing unnecessary disturbance and inconvenience.

A police team from Lainchaur Police Circle carried out the operation and detained the suspects.

Police said the individuals are being investigated under the charge of disorderly conduct, with the Kathmandu District Administration Office granting a five-day extension of their detention to facilitate further investigation.
