Banking News – Nepal Police have arrested two Indian nationals in Siddharthanagar Municipality-12, Rupandehi, on charges of possessing and allegedly dealing in counterfeit Indian currency.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Abhishek Kasoudhan, a resident of Shohratgarh, Siddharthnagar district, Uttar Pradesh, and Yash Bausaheb Bramhan, a resident of Maharashtra, India.

According to police, the arrests were made after a special tip-off regarding the circulation of fake Indian currency. A police team led by Police Inspector Man Bahadur B.C. from the Bhairahawa Ward Police Office carried out the operation.

During the search, police recovered 140 counterfeit Indian currency notes of INR 500 denomination, along with two mobile phones and two Indian Aadhaar cards from the suspects.

The two suspects have been taken into custody, and the Rupandehi District Court has granted police five days of judicial remand to conduct further investigation into the case.
