Banking News – Nepal Telecom (NTC) has announced a penalty waiver scheme for customers with outstanding service payments, encouraging them to clear their overdue bills within the specified deadline.

In a public notice, the state-owned telecom operator said customers who settle their outstanding dues for the fiscal year 2023/24 (FY 2080/81 BS) by Poush-end 2083 BS (mid-January 2027) will receive a full waiver of the applicable penalty charges.

The company has requested all eligible customers to visit their nearest Nepal Telecom office and take advantage of the limited-time facility.

Nepal Telecom also warned that customers who fail to clear their outstanding balances may face recovery proceedings. The company stated that it will publish the names and details of defaulting customers through its official website and national newspapers before initiating the legal recovery process.

The penalty waiver applies to customers who have unpaid charges for various telecommunications services provided by Nepal Telecom. The company expects the initiative to benefit customers by reducing their payment burden while also helping recover long-overdue receivables.
