Banking News – Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has appointed Bishnu Kumar Bishwakarma as the Coordinator of the Management Committee overseeing the troubled Karnali Development Bank.

The decision was made by the NRB Board of Directors, which also recalled Tikaram Khatriwada, who had been serving as the committee’s coordinator, and Jugal Kishor Kushwaha, who served as a committee member.

Following the board’s decision, Bishwakarma assumed the role of coordinator on Shrawan 15 (July 30).

The current management committee also includes Sajan Dhakal, Assistant Director of the Internal Audit Department, and Niraj Kumar Dahal, Assistant Director of the Financial Institutions Supervision Department.

The committee is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of Karnali Development Bank after it was declared a troubled financial institution by Nepal Rastra Bank.
