Man Arrested in Sarlahi With Rs. 5.13 Million in Unexplained Cash

Banking News – Police have arrested a 57-year-old man with Rs. 5.134 million in unexplained cash from Brahmapuri Rural Municipality-2 in Sarlahi on Wednesday morning.

The arrested man has been identified as Jagannath Mahato Koiri, a resident of Gaushala Municipality-12, Mahottari.

A police team deployed from the District Police Office, Sarlahi, stopped and searched a scooter traveling from Velhi toward Bayalbas near the Rajdevi Temple in Brahmapuri Rural Municipality-2.

During the search, police recovered Rs. 5.134 million in cash from the scooter and arrested its driver, Jagannath.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
