Banking News – Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has directed Prime Minister Balendra Shah to respond in the House of Representatives to questions and issues raised by lawmakers.
The direction came during a House of Representatives meeting on Monday, Bhadra 1, after opposition lawmakers insisted that parliamentary proceedings would not move forward unless the Prime Minister himself appeared in Parliament and answered their questions.

During the meeting, opposition lawmakers argued that the Prime Minister must remain accountable to Parliament and provide clear responses to questions and concerns raised by elected representatives. The opposition’s protest temporarily disrupted parliamentary proceedings.
Following the obstruction, Speaker Aryal directed Prime Minister Shah to address the issues raised in the House, emphasizing the importance of maintaining parliamentary dignity and established parliamentary practices.
Following the Speaker’s direction, the Prime Minister is expected to address the House and respond to the concerns raised by lawmakers.
Discussions among political parties are reportedly underway over whether the regular parliamentary agenda should proceed only after the Prime Minister delivers his response. Disagreement between the ruling and opposition parties over the Prime Minister’s presence in Parliament has continued in recent days.
