Banking News – Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Dhaniram Sharma, is set to serve as Nepal’s Alternate Executive Director at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). A Cabinet meeting held on Shrawan 14 decided to send Sharma, who was also heading the ministry’s International Economic Relations Division, to the ADB as Nepal’s alternate executive director.
Following the decision to send Sharma to the ADB, the government has assigned Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal to head the International Economic Relations Division. Lamsal had previously been serving as chief of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division.

Similarly, the ministry has appointed Kavita Regmi Poudyal as chief of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division and spokesperson of the ministry, while Devraj Joshi has been assigned responsibility for the Economic Policy Analysis Division.
The current Executive Director at the ADB is Joint Secretary Shrikrishna Nepal. Sharma has been given the alternate executive director’s responsibility as Nepal is set to appoint a replacement following Nepal’s retirement due to the age limit.
