Banking News – The Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene has issued a circular to local levels to ensure the availability of medicines and medical supplies distributed free of charge at health institutions under local levels as part of basic health services.

The Ministry has sent the list of essential medicines and medical supplies required for operating basic health services at local levels, along with details on their management, to all local levels through the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.
The Ministry has urged local levels to manage medicines and medical supplies according to the responsibilities of the respective levels as per the attached list, with the objective of distributing medicines free of charge from health institutions under local levels and ensuring year-round availability of medicines.
The letter also includes a detailed list of various medicines and medical supplies required for basic health services. The list encompasses medicines as well as various medical materials needed at health institutions. Local levels are required to systematically manage the availability, storage, and free distribution of essential medicines at health institutions under their jurisdiction.
