Nirvik Sapkota, the Digital Sales Head of NMB Bank, highlighted India’s significant advancements in the field of information technology during his participation in the Global Fintech Fest 2024 in Mumbai. In an interview with Banking News, Sapkota expressed excitement about the rapid digital transformation taking place globally and particularly praised India’s progress in increasing public awareness of digital technologies.

Sapkota emphasized that India’s strides in IT are likely to influence and benefit Nepal as well. He noted that while India has developed substantial infrastructure in the IT sector, Nepal is also making progress and moving towards becoming more advanced in this area. Sapkota expressed optimism that Nepal could follow a similar trajectory as India, advancing its digital infrastructure and capabilities in the near future.
