Banking News – A police havaldar has been arrested for recording and making public the statement video of Suman Thapa, the accused in the rape and murder case of three-year-old Garima Chaudhary from Bara. The arrested individual has been identified as Havaldar Kumar BK.
According to police sources, the video was recorded against protocol during the investigation and statement-taking process. After the video went viral on social media, serious questions were raised against Nepal Police. The video shows the accused giving a statement about the incident. An investigation was launched to determine how the footage was leaked. During preliminary investigation, suspicion fell on the person who filmed the video, leading to the detention of Havaldar Bk.

SP Narendra Kunwar, Chief of Bara Police, confirmed that the police personnel who filmed the video has been arrested and is in custody. According to him, investigations are ongoing against other individuals involved. Five police personnel are said to have been seen during the filming of the video.
Meanwhile, SP Narendra Kunwar and DSP Min Bahadur Ghale, Chief and Deputy Chief of Bara District Police Office, are also under investigation by Nepal Police Headquarters and Madhesh Provincial Police Office regarding the incident.
