Banking News – Vehicular movement from Kathmandu Valley to Dhading, Rasuwa, and Chitwan has been halted considering the potential risk after a massive flood from China began flowing through the Bhote Koshi into the Trishuli River.

Anticipating increased risks to roads and areas along the river, the Valley Traffic Police Office has stopped vehicles from exiting Kathmandu through the Nagdhunga and Bhimdhunga checkpoints.

According to SP Naresh Subedi of the Valley Traffic Police Office, vehicles heading to those districts have been urged not to travel immediately due to the risky situation. “Vehicles heading in that direction have been advised not to proceed due to the risk,” he said.

Traffic police have also urged transport operators not to operate public vehicles toward Dhading, Rasuwa, and Chitwan. Police stated that precautions have been taken considering the potential flood and possible road blockages.

Police have also imposed restrictions on four-wheelers and two-wheelers heading to those districts through the Nagdhunga and Bhimdhunga checkpoints. Traffic police have stated that further decisions on vehicular movement will be made after assessing the flood flow and risk conditions.
