Banking News – Nepal Electricity Authority has stated that the sudden flood in Rasuwa has caused irreparable loss of life and property, as well as significant damage to houses, roads, bridges, electricity infrastructure, and other physical structures.

According to the Authority, the flood has damaged structures related to generation, transmission, and distribution, including the 220 kV substation under Rasuwagadhi, Chilime, Trishuli-3A, Trishuli-3B Hub, as well as the Trishuli and Devighat hydropower projects. The Authority has also informed that power supply in the area has been disrupted due to the damage to these structures.

The Authority has urged all concerned parties to mobilize immediately and effectively for the search, rescue, relief, and restoration of security personnel, civil servants, and members of the public who are missing or affected by the flood.

Stating that the flood risk may persist, the Authority has urged employees and the general public in riverside areas, coastal zones, and other high-risk locations to remain highly alert. The Authority has also requested people to relocate to safer areas if further risks are observed. The Authority has also urged the public not to believe unconfirmed news and rumors except official notices.
