Banking News – The Nepali Army has rescued 123 individuals by air this morning from those injured and stranded due to the flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa. According to the Army, 95 individuals have been safely rescued from the Timure area of Rasuwa. Among them, eight are foreigners. Preparations are underway to bring the foreign nationals to Kathmandu by helicopter, while the remaining are being brought to Dhunche.

Similarly, seven individuals trapped inside a tunnel of a hydropower project in Haku, Rasuwa, have been rescued alive, while rescue operations are ongoing in three other tunnels, the Army stated. The Army has also confirmed the safe rescue of 21 Indian tourists who were missing in the Timure area, with efforts continuing to bring them to Kathmandu.

The government has further intensified search, rescue, and relief operations in riverine areas and affected regions starting this morning. To assist citizens in distress, the Army had already dispatched necessary relief materials including food supplies, tents, and medicines to affected areas last night.

Security agencies, along with the private sector, have been providing significant support and coordination in rescue and search operations. Following the flood on Wednesday, rescue operations were initiated with the mobilization of helicopters from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and private sector operators. Army teams continued ground-based rescue operations throughout the night.

From this morning, rescue and search operations for those stranded and missing have been intensified in Timure, Syafrubesi, and riverine areas with the active deployment of helicopters from the Nepali Army and private sector, along with foot patrol teams. The government has urged residents along the riverbanks to remain highly alert while focusing all mechanisms on relief and rescue efforts.
