Banking News – Prime Minister Balendra Shah has stated that the government is mobilizing all resources for rapid and maximum rescue and relief efforts during this time of unprecedented disaster. Through social media, Prime Minister Shah expressed that the disaster would be faced with the support and cooperation of the entire nation, Nepalis around the world, and the international community. He informed that all state mechanisms have been mobilized for the rescue and relief of citizens affected by the disaster.

According to the Prime Minister, aerial flights for rescue commenced from 6:30 AM today. Over 15 flights have been conducted so far, with additional helicopters kept on standby for rescue operations. Through the rescue operation conducted by the Nepali Army this morning, 116 individuals have been safely rescued from Timure, Rasuwa. Among those rescued, 95 are Nepali citizens and 21 are Indian nationals. Similarly, 7 Nepali citizens have also been successfully rescued from the tunnel, the Prime Minister stated.

Essential relief supplies are being rapidly dispatched to affected areas. Generators, portable mobile towers, medical supplies, tents, and iron-cutting machines are being sent to the affected sites. According to the Prime Minister, temporary mobile network and mobile charging facilities will soon be arranged in the disaster-affected areas. This is expected to facilitate communication with affected citizens.

A temporary camp has been prepared in Nuwakot, with food and water arrangements made there. Additionally, surveys of the affected areas using drones are in the final stages to collect necessary information. The Prime Minister stated that the details obtained would help make rescue and relief operations more organized and effective. He informed that critically ill patients, elderly, women, and children would be prioritized during rescue operations. He urged affected citizens to remain patient and calm while awaiting rescue and relief.
