Banking News – The Nepal Capital Market Discourse 2026 will be inaugurated by Dr. Gopal Bhatta, Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). The discourse, scheduled to take place on Bhadau 21, will be officially opened by SEBON Chairman Bhatta.
The Nepal Capital Market Discourse on Bhadau 21 will feature an inaugural session along with four panel discussions. The program, starting at 12:00 PM on Sunday, will include an inaugural session, three panel discussions, and one special session. Three separate panel discussions will be held on topics related to policy and regulation, share literacy, and technology.

These sessions will see participation from SEBON’s Executive Director, representatives of merchant bankers, broker companies, CDS and Clearing representatives, and capital market stakeholders.
Special Duologue with Chairman Bhatta
Before the program concludes, after the panel discussions, Raju Dhungel, Managing Director of Banking Samachar, will conduct a special duologue with SEBON Chairman Bhatta. Chairman Bhatta will present SEBON’s views on the issues raised throughout the day. The organizers consider this direct dialogue with Chairman Bhatta as the main attraction of the program.
The Nepal Capital Market Discourse is being organized by Banking Samachar with NASA Securities as the main sponsor, with the aim of comprehensive discussions on Nepal’s capital market. The discourse is being organized with the objective of discussing policy reforms, regulatory conditions and improvements, investor rights and interests, and spreading shareholder education. The panel discussions will cover topics related to regulation and policy formulation, investor education, and technology and innovation in the stock market.
The discourse will see participation from the Ministry of Finance, SEBON, Nepal Rastra Bank, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), CDSC and Clearing, broker companies, merchant banks, commercial and development banks, credit rating agencies, and listed companies. Additionally, members of the House of Representatives, representatives from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), and other international delegates will also be participating.
