Banking News – Api Power Company has provided Rs 35 lakh in assistance for the search, rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River.
The company has made the amount immediately available through the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. Api Power Chairperson Sirjana Khadka expressed confidence that the assistance would support the immediate search and rescue operations for flood-affected citizens.

She stated that the company is ready to provide additional assistance as needed for the long-term rehabilitation of those affected after the search and rescue efforts. The company expressed sorrow over the significant damage caused to various hydropower projects and other structures by the sudden flood that struck the Bhote Koshi River on Wednesday morning.
The company paid tribute to citizens who lost their lives in the flood, extended condolences to the bereaved families, and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Api Power has urged relevant agencies for the immediate search and rescue of all citizens, including employees from its various hydropower projects who are still missing.
The company has also appealed to everyone to exercise maximum caution to prevent further loss of life and property, and to contribute from their respective areas to search, rescue, and relief efforts. Api Power has stated that it is currently generating regular electricity from completed hydropower projects with a total capacity of 56 MW and solar projects with a capacity of 6 MW. The company has also been operating in agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure sectors through a dozen subsidiary companies.
