Banking News – Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD and its official distributor and local partner in Nepal, Cimex Inc. Private Limited, have announced a contribution of Rs 7 crore to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund to support communities affected by the devastating flood in Rasuwa district and other areas on Wednesday.
This assistance from BYD and Cimex reflects solidarity and commitment toward Nepal during the time of disaster. The amount will be channeled through the Government of Nepal’s official disaster relief and rehabilitation mechanism, operated by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

BYD stated that this amount will support the government’s ongoing efforts in rescue, treatment, immediate relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction of damaged infrastructure. The company believes this will help affected families and communities in their recovery and rebuilding process.
Cimex Inc. is the official distributor of BYD in Nepal. Cimex has been working closely with BYD for the development of sustainable mobility. BYD and Cimex Inc. have expressed tribute to those who lost their lives in the disaster and wished for the swift rehabilitation and reconstruction of affected communities.
