Banking News – Raji Rana has contributed Rs 1 crore 9 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. This is one of the largest individual contributions made to the relief fund.

Rana, aged 87, comes from a business background. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle received the cheque for the contribution at the ministry on Friday, sent through Rana’s associate Krishna Basnet.

On the occasion, employees working at Rana’s office also handed over Rs 80,000 in contribution to the Finance Minister. Rana has also prepared to contribute goods and food supplies worth an additional Rs 25 lakh.

Basnet informed that coordination has been made with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Home Affairs to provide assistance equivalent to that amount to the areas where it is needed.
