Banking News – The devastating flood that suddenly struck the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers in Rasuwa on Bhadau 10, 2083, has affected 49 wards in five districts.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the flood has affected 11 wards in four local levels of Rasuwa. The affected local levels include Uttar Gaya, Gosainkunda, Aamachodingmo, and Kalika rural municipalities.
The highest damage in Rasuwa has occurred in Uttar Gaya Rural Municipality, where all five wards have been affected. Similarly, four wards of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality and two wards of Aamachodingmo Rural Municipality have been affected.

In Nuwakot, 11 wards from Tarkeshwar, Kispang, Bidur, and Belkotgadhi have been affected. Similarly, in Dhading, 18 wards from Galchi, Gajuri, Benighat Rorang, and Siddhlek rural municipalities have been affected by the flood. The Authority has stated that five wards of Gandaki Rural Municipality in Gorkha and four wards of Devghat and Ambukhaireni rural municipalities in Tanahun have also been affected.
The government has already declared 15 local levels in five flood-affected districts as disaster crisis areas. Data released shows that 903 people have died so far, while 4,247 are still missing. As the impact of the flood and search and rescue operations continue, the death toll and number of missing are expected to rise further.
