Banking News – A total of 1,056 bodies have been recovered as of 2:00 PM Tuesday due to the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi in Rasuwa. Among them, 38 bodies were recovered in Rasuwa, 151 in Nuwakot, 57 in Dhading, 321 in Chitwan, 65 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahun, 216 in Nawalparasi East, 165 in Nawalparasi West, and 5 in India, totaling 1,056 bodies recovered.

Among the recovered bodies, post-mortem procedures have been completed for 972 bodies, and 58 bodies have been handed over to relatives. For identification of the recovered bodies, DNA sample collection and necessary procedures have been completed, and a total of 684 bodies have been managed (buried), including 121 females, 198 males, and 365 unidentified. Additionally, details of 869 unidentified bodies have been uploaded on the Nepal Police website.

A total of 7,912 police personnel have been deployed so far for rescue, search, relief distribution, and body management in the flood-affected areas. A total of 4,530 individuals have been rescued from the flood-affected areas, while search operations are ongoing for 4,606 individuals still missing.

A total of 3,453 individuals are being housed in holding centers in various districts. Among them, 2,466 are in Nuwakot, 260 in Dhading, 398 in Rasuwa, and 329 in Kathmandu. Police have been relocating families from various districts at risk of flooding to safe locations, conducting necessary rescue and search operations in coordination with various agencies and locals, and clearing road blockages in various places.
