Banking News – A total of 1,118 bodies have been recovered as of 8:00 AM Wednesday due to the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi in Rasuwa. Among them, 45 bodies were recovered in Rasuwa, 155 in Nuwakot, 59 in Dhading, 348 in Chitwan, 66 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahun, 217 in Nawalparasi East, and 190 in Nawalparasi West, totaling 1,118 bodies recovered.

Among the recovered bodies, post-mortem procedures have been completed for 1,117 bodies, and 95 bodies have been handed over to relatives. For identification of the recovered bodies, DNA sample collection and necessary procedures have been completed, and a total of 869 bodies have been managed (securely buried), including 174 females, 257 males, and 438 unidentified. Additionally, details of 911 unidentified bodies have been uploaded on the Nepal Police website.

A total of 7,912 police personnel have been deployed so far for rescue, search, relief distribution, and body management in the flood-affected areas. A total of 6,853 individuals have been rescued from the flood-affected areas, while search operations are ongoing for 5,015 individuals still missing. Additionally, 3,247 individuals are being housed in holding centers in various districts.

Police have been relocating families from various districts at risk of flooding to safe locations, conducting necessary rescue and search operations in coordination with various agencies and locals, and clearing road blockages in various places.
