Everest Bank Provides Rs 3 Crore 11 Lakh Assistance for Bhote Koshi Flood Victims

Banking News – Everest Bank has provided over Rs 3 crore 11 lakh in financial assistance to the government for relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the Bhote Koshi flood. The bank has deposited the amount into the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund with the objective of applying balm to the wounds of victims during this time of disaster.

Among the total Rs 3 crore 11 lakh 54 thousand provided by the bank, Rs 2 crore 51 lakh has been borne from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund. The remaining approximately Rs 60 lakh 55 thousand has been collected from employees of the bank on a personal basis. In addition to the cash assistance, the bank has informed that essential relief materials raised through employees’ initiative have also been handed over to relevant government agencies for dispatch to affected areas.

Expressing sorrow over the human and physical damage caused by the disaster, the bank has paid tribute to the deceased and extended condolences to the bereaved families. Wishing for the speedy recovery of the injured, the bank has highly commended all security personnel, local levels, and supporting organizations engaged in rescue and relief efforts during this difficult situation.
