Banking News – Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), Dr. Gopal Bhatta, has stated that preparations are underway to move toward AI-based supervision to make capital market monitoring more effective.
Speaking at the special duologue session of the Nepal Capital Market Discourse 2026, Chairman Bhatta informed that SEBON has been advancing policy and technological reforms by considering both internal and external aspects of the market.

Mentioning that the Board has prioritized sector-wise IPOs, he stated that IPOs in the pipeline will be brought to the market soon. Chairman Bhatta also informed that the Broker Regulations will also be introduced shortly.
