Banking News – Nepal Police Headquarters has issued a notice directing nine police personnel who have been absent from office for a long time without notice to report with an explanation within seven days. The Law and Human Rights Division (Law Section) under the Secretariat of the Inspector General of Police at Police Headquarters, Naxal, has issued a notice directing them to report at the concerned office or the office issuing the notice within seven days with a satisfactory explanation along with the reason for their absence.

According to Nepal Police Headquarters, those police personnel had been absent from office on their own since the designated date. After they did not come into contact even during search operations, a notice was affixed in their names after completing the process as per Rule 115, Sub-rule (2) of the Police Regulations, 2071 (with amendments).

The notice states that if they do not report within the specified period, action to dismiss them from service will be initiated as per Rule 109, Sub-clause (b) (1) for the offense under Rule 113, Sub-rule (1), Clause (d) of the Police Regulations, 2071. Additionally, it has been stated that the concerned police personnel have been given an opportunity for clarification through the said public notice for the purpose of Part 4 of Schedule 14 of the Regulations.

The police personnel who are absent include Technical Police Deputy Inspector Shukrabahadur Mahato of Nepal Police Hospital Maharajgunj, Police Assistant Inspector Khargabahadur Gurung of the Complaint Investigation Section of District Police Office Sunsari, Technical Police Assistant Havaldar Roshan Rai of Police Post Khumjung, Solukhumbu, Police Assistant Havaldar Suresh Nepali of Police Post Biruwa Archale, Syangja.

Similarly, Technical Police Constable Mohan Bhandari of Nepal Police Physical Infrastructure Division Technical Gulm, Naxal, Police Constable Kalpana Ranamagar of Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office, Police Constable Rajendra Bishwakarma of Koshi Provincial Police Battalion Biratnagar, Police Constable Suman Chaudhary of Bagmati Provincial Police Battalion Hetauda, and Police Constable Toplal Chaudhary of Police Post Phadwamechkuri, Kapilvastu are also absent.
