Kathmandu – The Nepal Rastra Bank has announced plans to print 300 million new Rs 100 notes. In a notice, the central bank revealed that it has decided to award the contract for printing, design, and transportation of the notes to China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation.
According to the central bank, the Chinese company will carry out the printing and transportation for an estimated cost of $8,996,592. The central bank accepted the proposal by recognizing the bid with the lowest price among the participants in the tender process.
