Two Arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport with Undeclared Gold and Silver


Banking NewsNepal Police has arrested two individuals at Tribhuvan International Airport after allegedly recovering undeclared gold and silver ornaments during a customs inspection.

The suspects have been identified as Yagya Raj Subedi, operator of Apex Logistic, and Ram Prasad Dahal, operator of Unique Cargo in Boudha, Kathmandu, with links to Jhapa.

According to police, the valuables were discovered after a detailed inspection revealed that the contents of the baggage did not match the declared items. The recovered ornaments included gold necklaces, pendants, amulets, head ornaments, mangalsutras, pearl necklaces, Ranihar necklaces, tridents, as well as silver items.

The two suspects have been taken into custody and handed over to the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office for further legal proceedings, police said.
