Nepali National Killed in Drone Attack in Northern Kuwait


Banking News – A Nepali citizen has been killed in a drone attack in northern Kuwait, according to the Embassy of Nepal in Kuwait.

The deceased has been identified as Som Kumar Tamang, 44, from Tehrathum District, who was working in Kuwait as a driver. The embassy said he lost his life in the drone attack that occurred on Thursday.

According to the embassy, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially informed it of the incident. In a statement issued on Friday, the embassy said it is coordinating with the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures and repatriate Tamang’s body to Nepal as soon as possible.

In light of the evolving security situation, the Embassy of Nepal has urged all Nepali nationals residing in Kuwait to remain vigilant and strictly follow all security advisories and guidelines issued by the Kuwaiti government.

The embassy also advised Nepali citizens to exercise caution and stay in safe locations until further notice.
