Five Fire Incidents Reported Across Nepal, Property Worth Millions Destroyed

Banking News – Fire incidents have been reported at five different locations across Nepal, causing property damage, with electrical short circuits suspected in several cases.

In Kathmandu Metropolitan City-17, Kaladhara Chowk, a fire broke out at the Mandala Electronics shop operated by Rachit Dangol on Sunday morning. Police said the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. Details of the total damage are yet to be determined.

Similarly, a fire broke out at the cattle shed of 58-year-old Diwakar Bhurtel, a resident of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-27, Dharampur, Chitwan, on Sunday morning after an electrical short circuit. Property worth approximately Rs. 800,000 was destroyed in the incident.

In Bhimpokhara Multana, Kathekhola Rural Municipality-2, Baglung, a cattle shed belonging to Dolendra Prasad Gautam caught fire following an electrical short circuit. The shed was completely destroyed in the incident.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out at the house of Bijay Yadav, a resident of Sonma Rural Municipality-5, Khayarbani, Mahottari, on Saturday evening. Property worth approximately Rs. 350,000 was destroyed in the fire.

In Gadhimai Municipality-2, Hatiaul, Rautahat, a cattle shed belonging to Sakendra Baitha also caught fire due to an electrical short circuit. Property worth approximately Rs. 100,000 was destroyed.

Police said investigations are underway to determine the circumstances and extent of damage in the reported fire incidents.
