KATHMANDU- The Meteorological Forecasting Division under Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a special Tihar Weather Bulletin, predicting weather patterns for the next four days during the festival period.

The bulletin, released on Wednesday, warns of possible light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in select hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. Most other regions of the country are expected to remain largely clear.

In addition, light snowfall is anticipated in the high hills and mountainous areas. The department noted a likely decrease in both maximum and minimum temperatures across much of Nepal during this festive period.
