Banking News – Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Ravi Lamichhane has said that legal action will be taken against anyone found responsible for illegally parking vehicles that obstructed the entrances of several media houses, regardless of their political affiliation.

On Monday, private vehicles were parked in a manner that blocked the entrances of several media organizations and the residence of Nepali Congress leader Gagan Kumar Thapa. Police later removed the vehicles and imposed fines on those involved.
Responding to journalists at Singha Durbar on Tuesday, Lamichhane said that those responsible would face action even if they were RSP members or supporters.
“The RSP was the first to issue a statement condemning the incident and calling for action against those responsible,” Lamichhane said. He added that the party has a record of taking disciplinary measures against its own members, noting that it had previously taken action against one of its lawmakers within 72 hours.
“Whoever is involved—even if they are affiliated with the RSP—will be held accountable,” he stressed.
Addressing another question regarding his recent meeting with Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Lamichhane said the discussions focused on finding a sustainable and swift solution to the problems faced by landless and squatter communities, as well as broader national political developments and party-related issues.
