According to the department, small rivers and streams in Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Ilam, Panchthar, Terhathum, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Dhading, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Kaski, Tanahun, Syangja, Parbat, Baglung, Gulmi, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Pyuthan, Nawalparasi (East and West), Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Doti, Dadeldhura, Kailali, and Kanchanpur are at risk of sudden flooding due to ongoing rainfall.

The department, however, noted that the water levels of major rivers, including the Koshi, Narayani, Bagmati, Karnali, and Mahakali, along with their tributaries, as well as the Kankai, Kamala, Babai, East Rapti, and West Rapti rivers, remain below the danger level.

Authorities have advised residents living near rivers and flood-prone areas to stay vigilant, monitor weather updates, and take necessary precautions until weather conditions improve.
