Banking News – Nepal Police have arrested eight individuals on charges of harassing tourists and travelers by falsely offering cheap hotel accommodations in Pokhara.

According to the Kaski District Police Office, the suspects were apprehended during an operation in the Lakeside area of Pokhara Metropolitan City-6 and the Birauta area of Pokhara Metropolitan City-17. Police said the individuals targeted both domestic and foreign tourists, luring them with promises of arranging hotels at attractive and low prices while causing unnecessary inconvenience and harassment.
Of those arrested, five were detained from Birauta (Ward No. 17) and three from Hallanchowk in Lakeside (Ward No. 6).
Police said an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
