Banking News – Starting from Kartik 16, i.e., tomorrow, the working hours of government offices are set to change. With the onset of winter, the government has reduced the operating hours of government offices by one hour, fixing them from 9 AM to 4 PM.

According to a notice from the Ministry of Home Affairs published in the Nepal Gazette, government offices and public agencies will operate five days a week from 9 AM to 4 PM starting from Kartik 16, 2083 to Magh 15.

Previously, government offices used to operate from 9 AM to 5 PM. As it gets dark earlier in winter, the office hours have been reduced by one hour. According to the government’s decision, the regular work of government offices and public agencies during that period will be until 4 PM.

Earlier, the Cabinet meeting held on Chaitra 22 last year had decided to provide public holidays on two days a week, Saturday and Sunday, in view of the difficulties seen in the supply of petroleum products. The government has been continuing that decision.

With this, from Kartik 16 to Magh 15, government offices will operate five days a week and seven hours a day.
