Kathmandu – Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Paudel has assured that the government is committed to addressing the recent contraction in real estate transactions. Speaking at the third general assembly of the Nepal Land and Housing Developers’ Association in Kathmandu on Friday, he emphasized the importance of land and housing as a key element in nation-building efforts.

“Land and housing should not be perceived solely as a commercial enterprise. It is a vital component of the broader mission of nation-building,” Paudel remarked, adding, “I respect those in this business not just for pursuing profit but for their contributions to national development.”

Commitment to Implement Land Transaction Laws
Minister Paudel highlighted the government’s commitment to enforcing the law that mandates real estate transactions through licensed companies only. He assured stakeholders that regulations for implementing this law would be formulated promptly to ensure effective execution.

“The legislation stipulates that real estate transactions must be conducted only through authorized companies. For this, regulations must be established and enforced quickly. The government will prioritize this,” he stated.

Minister Paudel’s remarks underline the government’s focus on revitalizing the real estate sector and integrating it as a crucial part of Nepal’s economic development.
