KATHMANDU – Machhapuchhre Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Santosh Koirala has said that financial equality is essential for citizens of all sectors. Answering the question raised in the second session of ‘Second National Banking Discourse 2024’ on ‘Social Impact and Current Status of Financial Literacy in Nepal’, he pointed out that financial literacy is a challenge in the Himalayas.

CEO Gyawali said, “Financial equality is equally necessary in all areas.” Being literate in one region alone is not enough to support financial equality. Citizens of all areas must be literate.

The second session of the discourse on ‘Social Impact and Current Status of Financial Literacy in Nepal’ was attended by Bhuvan Dahal, Chairman of Financial Literacy Nepal, Santosh Koirala, Chief Executive Officer of Machhapuchhre Bank, Manoj Kumar Gyawali, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank, Pawan Regmi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of National Commercial Bank.
