Banking News — Veteran banker Anil Keshari Shah has returned to Nepal’s banking sector after being appointed as a Director of Nabil Bank.
The bank’s Annual General Meeting held on Monday unanimously elected Shah to the Board of Directors, representing the promoter shareholders’ group.
Shah, who has decades of experience in Nepal’s banking industry, had stayed away from any banking institution after stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank. With this appointment, he makes his return to the same institution after nearly five years.
He began his banking career at Grindlays Bank in an assistant-level position and later went on to build extensive experience at Nabil Bank and the then Mega Bank.
His return to Nabil Bank is being viewed as a significant development for the institution and the broader banking sector, given his long-standing leadership and industry expertise.
