People Have Not Felt the Impact of the Government’s First 100 Days, Says Hark Raj Rai

Banking NewsHark Raj Rai, Chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party, has said that the government has failed to deliver results that the public can genuinely feel during its first 100 days in office.

Speaking to journalists at Tribhuvan International Airport on Friday after returning to Kathmandu from Darchula, where he inaugurated a suspension bridge in a remote village, Rai said the current government had not produced tangible outcomes that were noticeable to ordinary citizens.

He claimed that the government’s performance had fallen short of public expectations and recalled that his party had repeatedly advised the government to focus on controlling rising inflation.

“The public has not really felt the government’s work. People should be able to experience tangible results,” Rai said. “Inflation has increased significantly, and we have consistently suggested that the government take measures to control it. While I was in Darchula, I observed that access to mass communication there remains very limited. I have heard that fuel prices have been reduced recently.”

Rai welcomed the government’s recent decision to lower petroleum prices, expressing support for the move.

He also said he was pleased to have participated in development efforts in Darchula, describing the district as one of Nepal’s remote regions that requires greater attention and infrastructure development.
