Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, in an exclusive interview with TASS, the Russian News Agency, expressed his eagerness to facilitate potential high-level visits between Nepal and Russia. According to TASS reports, Dahal communicated his preparedness to host Russian President Vladimir Putin in Nepal and affirmed his commitment to reciprocate with a visit to Russia.

TASS highlighted Prime Minister Dahal’s emphasis on the current favorable conditions for strengthening the ties between the two nations, underscoring the significance of high-level visits in this context. He articulated his hope that such visits would play a crucial role in positively shaping the development of bilateral relations.

The report further detailed Dahal’s references to his past encounters with President Putin, particularly during the 2016 summits of the BRICS group and the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in Goa, India. Dahal acknowledged the limitations of those collective discussions and expressed confidence that a dedicated high-level visit would provide a conducive environment for substantial discussions and enhanced cooperation.
