Banking News – Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited has provided financial assistance of Rs 1 crore 51 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. Expressing sorrow over the human and physical damage caused by the sudden flood and natural disaster originating from China’s Tibet region in districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading, the company has provided the amount for rescue, relief, rehabilitation, and humanitarian support.

According to the company, the assistance includes contributions of Rs 18 lakh 67 thousand from Citizen Life Leaders and Rs 21 lakh 33 thousand from employees. The assistance was handed over to Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle by Company Chairman Pradeep Jung Pandey, Chief Executive Officer Poshak Raj Poudel, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary Deep Bahadur Bisi. The company has paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the disaster, extended condolences to the bereaved families, and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The company also expressed sympathy for the families of those missing, wishing for their safe return.

Citizen Life has expressed respect for security personnel, health workers, local levels, volunteers, and all rescue workers engaged in rescue and relief efforts during this difficult time of disaster. Meanwhile, the company has informed that it has issued necessary instructions to agents and employees in affected areas to understand the situation of its policyholders and their family members affected by the disaster. The company has stated that if any policyholder or their family requires insurance claims assistance, it will coordinate with relevant agencies to facilitate a smooth, swift, and efficient claims process.
