Banking News – Tribhuvan University has recovered approximately Rs 16 crore 50 lakh from teachers and employees who did not return to service according to university rules after taking study leave. According to the Employee Administration Division under the Tribhuvan University Registrar’s Office, approximately Rs 16 crore 50 lakh has been recovered from 75 cases so far.

Tribhuvan University has stated that the process of recovering amounts from teachers and employees who did not return to service after study leave or returned but did not complete the designated service period has been advanced, along with recovering amounts including compensation as per rules on salary, allowances, and other facilities received from the university during study leave. Similarly, the university has stated that work is underway to prepare accounts for additional cases and search records. According to available details, approximately Rs 21 crore 50 lakh remains in cases where accounts have been prepared.

According to the university, work is underway to search and study the personal records of teachers and employees who have come into contact. The process of recovering amounts that such individuals must pay to the university is also ongoing. Tribhuvan University has requested teachers and employees who did not return to service as per rules after availing study leave or did not complete the designated period to contact the Registrar’s Office within the upcoming Poush month-end.
