Banking News – Buddha Air has clarified that it has been providing one-way airfare to Dhangadhi at Rs 10,800. The company issued a press release stating this after intense criticism on social media about overcharging.

The company has stated that tickets have already been sold on most days’ flights due to tickets being made available at the minimum fare. Long-distance road transportation had been obstructed for a long time after the highways suffered massive damage due to the devastating flood and landslides in the Rasuwa area. In that disaster situation, Buddha Air has stated that it announced and has been implementing the provision of providing tickets at minimum fares until road conditions become easier and until the festivals of Dashain and Tihar, with the objective of providing convenient and affordable air service to passengers.

Buddha Air has made it clear that if tickets are found being sold at higher prices in an unauthorized manner by any individual, travel agency, or other means other than the fare maintained through its official system and sales channels, it will strongly object to such acts and initiate necessary legal action according to prevailing law.

The company has requested passengers to obtain information regarding fares and tickets only from official sales channels and the company’s website and mobile app as official information sources.
